September 13, 2024 By Clonmel Theatre Guild

Local Lore and Legend: Tall Tales from Tipperary.

Get your FREE tickets HERE!

Our 2024 Culture Night event will be a Story Trail sharing stories of Clonmel’s past, with a bit of fun thrown in!

Join us at the starting point – Denis Lacy Memorial Hall eircode: E91 FX34 – at 7pm on Friday 20th September for this FREE event.

What will the stories be about? Here are a few teasers to whet your appetite…

One gentleman insults another.
The aggrieved party demands satisfaction.
There is only one thing they can do…
Why is Clonmel important historically when it came to settling disputes between “gentlemen”?
Find out at our Story Trail on Friday Sept 20th.

~~~~
A medicine sent by a husband to his wife…
Was it really intended to help, or cause the ultimate harm?
Our Story Trail on 20th Sept has all the gory details. All are welcome!
~~~

A grieving mother refuses to believe that her beloved son died at sea. So when a man comes to light in Australia claiming to be him (despite being 15 stone heavier and sounding completely different), will she believe it?
Will she welcome him home, or expose him as an imposter?

~~~~
Obsessive love, a tale as old as time.
Napoleon & Josephine, Paris of Troy & Helen, Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn…
But did you know that Clonmel has a story that rivals all of these?
Come along on Friday 20th to hear it!
~~~~

One man: two medicines that can cure all ills and an ability to be able to extract teeth completely painlessly. Sound too good to be true?
Saviour or sheister? Come along and hear the story and decide for yourself.
